Step Into Wonderland for a Purpose

Join United Way of Northeast Georgia for an unforgettable afternoon as we transform our annual Power of the Purse event into a whimsical Wonderland of Support. This year’s experience invites you to journey “through the looking glass” to better understand the realities faced by ALICE households—Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed—who work hard yet struggle to afford the basics right here in our own communities.

Our program features a powerful twist: instead of a traditional speaker, guests will take part in an immersive ALICE Simulation—a guided experience that puts you in the shoes of an ALICE family navigating the tough choices, limited resources, and daily obstacles that so many of our neighbors face. This hands-on perspective will deepen understanding, spark conversation, and inspire action.

Guests will enjoy a delicious lunch, shop and bid on an array of unique items in our silent auction, and try their luck at our popular wine pull, all while capturing the fun with our themed photo booth. Each element is designed to bring a touch of magic, curiosity, and impact to the afternoon all while bringing support to our Northeast Georgia Region.

Together, we’ll celebrate community, compassion, and the impact we can make when we invest in stability and opportunity for every family in Northeast Georgia.
